Sciemetric enables superior in-process & functional testing
Sciemetric has extensive experience in IPT and functional testing. We pioneered in-process-testing with Ford in engine testing in 1993 and we continue to apply it in a range of industries such as medical, industrial and other manufacturing. Our signature analysis technology is available in customized solutions or off-the-shelf configurations for specific applications such as engines.
IPT - Find manufacturing defects as they occur in the process
In-process testing is the testing of parts at each stage of the assembly process to ensure conformance to specification, prior to the product moving on to the next assembly stage. This enables manufacturers to identify product defects or process abnormalities at the earliest possible stage, resulting in potentially enormous savings.
In-process testing keeps all processes under control. Many defects are best found in-process and not at the end of the assembly line.

Functional testing- Test products to make sure they work
Functional Testing, also called end-of-line testing, is testing the function of the assembly or sub-assembly. Manufacturing products can be tested at various stages of assembly. This testing uses a variety of input parameters and requires multi-channel data acquisition and analysis.
Examples of functional test include:
- Cold Engine Testing
- Hot Engine Testing
- Electric Motor Testing
- Testing of Pumps, Processors, Valves and Transmissions.
